Quarta Caffè
Quarta Caffè was founded in the 1950s as a small coffee roasting operation located inside a bar in the historic centre of Lecce. Since the early years the coffee roasting has been distinguished by the high quality of coffee produced resulting in Quarta being destined to become the symbolic coffee of Salento. And so the historic Avio blend was born, dedicated to the colour of the uniforms of officials at Galatina airport who often came by to taste their beloved coffee. The reputation of Quarta Caffè continued to grow and, thanks to the success of the product, increased demand led to an increase in sales. During this time the first packs of blends dedicated to the family were launched. Quarta Caffè has conquered hearts with its inimitable aroma and taste and has established itself as the most loved and consumed coffees in the area. Industrialization started in the 1970s when the operation moved from the centre of Lecce to the out-of-town industrial area. Significant investment was made in the best technologies and in state-of-the-art equipment. The company has continued to grow over the years, continually innovating and paying great attention to the quality of the product. This has been achieved under the wise guidance of Antonio Quarta and by focusing on the sense of belonging by both staff and management. Quarta Caffè is committed to social programs and environmental issues related to sustainability.
