    InMare

While still in high school five boys were urged by their father to do better every day: "He who sleeps does not catch fish!". This phrase echoed for a long time in the heads of the Reho brothers: they compared ideas and came to the decision that placing the fish in one place could be the answer. They embraced the dream of raising the fish in the open sea, in the crystalline waters of Salento, not far from their home. Although they became aware of the difficulties this would entail, their desire was so strong that they could not deny it. Their stubbornness was transformed into insight, translated into the idea of creating large plastic cages, from which to hang the nets that would host the fish. Gradually a new business model took shape, which met with the trust of several relatives, particularly an aunt: it was she, in fact, who gave the first financial support to the boys to improve the business idea. In 2005 the dream of the five Reho brothers took shape.

In the waters off Gallipoli, two kilometres from the coast of Torre Suda, fourteen maxi cages are installed in the open sea. Each gigantic marine aquarium, 20 meters wide and deep, is inhabited by baby fish weighing 2 grams. In this fish nursery, each species enjoys the exceptional meal offered by the Mediterranean: in addition to plankton, algae and other organic substances that filter through the nets of the cages, the menu includes an energetic feed, based on cereal flours and blue fish. A team of experts take the fish from the cages and after a short time they arrive at the plant sited in the industrial area of Gallipoli. Here the fish are first placed in special containers that guarantee their conservation at a controlled temperature, then they are "labelled". Within a couple of hours they are ready to leave for fish shops, restaurants and supermarkets.

Millions of bream, sea bass and umbrine feed and grow in the open sea, in the midst of strong currents; this, in addition to avoiding accumulation of waste on the bottom of the cages, turns the fish into real athletes. Forced to swim deep, their flesh grows hard and free of fat, up to an average weight of 300 grams. The company's goal is to satisfy the consumer by providing a fresh, healthy product bred in an uncontaminated environment, according to a precise working protocol that guarantees hygiene and quality control. Among the products offered are not only fresh fish but also processed fish: sea bream and seabass rolls, umbrine steaks, sea bream and sea bass rolls, marinated sea bream fillets, etc.
